Sometimes in your life you go through periods of storms. Storms can be anything from an injury that sideswipes you to losing a job you cared about. These storms can take a little bit of time or years. For me, I have been in a series of storms for the past two years. It started with an actual storm, hurricane lan to be exact. This hurricane did not damage our new house, but it did some damage to our health. It brought sickness with it from other parts of Florida and maybe other countries too. There were more cases of pneumonia than covid and the flu combined! This made Mom (Cynthia) very ill. So much so that she almost died. 

I was scheduled to have my rotator cuff surgery two months later. As you already know, shortly after I returned to work from the surgery, I injured my brain. Since they were so close in time with each other, my beloved company decided to bridge those times and let me go since I could not return to work when they wanted me to. This shook me to my core.

Something that brought me the peace that passes all understanding was crafting. It held me together like glue. It brought me through these storms to God's plan for this season of my life. What storm is God using to bring you through this season of your life?
